FBN Insurance donates dialysis machine to hospital

FBN Insurance Limited has expressed its commitment to the development of the society through corporate social responsibility.

The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Value Ojumah, said this when the firm donated a dialysis machine to the management of Gbagada General Hospital, Lagos.

Ojumah said, “We are making this donation as part of activities lined up to celebrate our fifth year anniversary of doing insurance business. We want to help to alleviate the financial burden of patients who may not be able to afford such treatment,” he said.

According to him, the firm will continue to support government projects such as Gbagada General Hospital and the ministry of health.

He urged the management to ensure that the poor have access to treatment from the machine that was donated to the hospital.

The Chief Medical Director, Gbagada General Hospital, Dr. Tayo Lawal, said that since the hospital was established, it had gone through a lot of expansion.

While he noted that the government was doing a lot to improve the healthcare service, he said it could not provide all the facilities alone.

The chief medical director appreciated the gesture of the FBN Insurance and said it was ready to welcome those who would associate with it in development projects.

According to him, the donation by the FBN Insurance to the hospital is timely.

FBN Insurance is a limited liability company licensed to transact lnsurance business in Nigeria. The company is jointly owned by FBN Holdings Plc (65 per cent) and the Sanlam Group in South Africa (35 per cent).
